You can view our interactive 3D floorplans online which will allow you to view the locations of services, collections and study spaces across the Library.

Campus maps are available online. The Library is the yellow buiding (grid ref C3) on the map, a large glass-fronted building located in the centre of the campus on 'The Parade'.

Facilities and services by floor

Floorplans are available to help you find your way around the Library.

Library level 2

Level 2 is the entrance level where you can find the main University Reception and Security Desk, Library Readers Services Desk,Copy and Print helpdesk and Computing Services’ IT Service Desk. There is also an assistive technology room for students registered with Student Disability Advice. Level 2 is one of the University’s Learning Commons, and you’ll find other Learning Commons available on campus. See our interactive floor plans for floor by floor detail.

Library level 3, 4 and 5

Levels 3, 4 and 5 are ‘subject’ floors, where you will find resources and staff supporting different subject areas. Level 3 is the floor for Engineering and Design and Literature, Level 4 Sciences, and Level 5 Humanities, Social Sciences and Management. See our interactive floor plans for floor-by-floor detail.

Library computers

PCs are available on every floor and there is wifi throughout the building.

Study areas: there is a range of different kinds of study area available in the Library for silent, quiet and group study. More information on study areas and bookable work rooms.
