LinkedIn Learning: Student success and career skills

Introduction

LinkedIn Learning can help you throughout your student journey, from your undergraduate studies through to postgraduate research. Here's a small selection of the content that can be found on the platform, once you've registered for an account. You might also like to refer to the top level guide headings labelled Courses by Subject and Wellbeing. Remember that there's also specialist support available from Skills and Careers

Add your certificates to your LinkedIn Learning profile

Providing you have connected your personal LinkedIn profile with your LinkedIn Learning account, you can easily add certificates to your LinkedIn profile either immediately after completing a course, or by finding your completed courses in your Learning History. Watch the video below for a step-by-step guide. If you choose not to connect your accounts during the registration process for LinkedIn Learning, you can do later from within LinkedIn Learning using Me > Settings > Connect my LinkedIn account.

Role play work-based conversations

In LinkedIn Learning see the link to AI Role Play in the left-hand menu. This allows you to have a spoken conversation with the AI in order to practice a workplace conversation e.g. negotiation, project pitching, cold calling, handling conflict etc. You provide the scenario and the AI will take talk to you and record the conversation. Feedback on your performance is provided along with tips to improve and suggested videos to watch to upskill further.
