LinkedIn Learning is an online skills platform offering an extensive library of over 21,000 high-quality video courses in business, technical, creative and personal development skills. The University of Bath Library provides all staff and students with free access to LinkedIn Learning. This is a pilot until the end of November 2025. Please give us your feedback on LinkedIn Learning.
LinkedIn Learning enables you to:
To register for your account, visit LinkedIn Learning using the link below and log in using your University of Bath email address with Single Sign On (but don't choose 'sign in with your library card'). Then follow the on screen instructions to complete the registration process.
If you have a personal LinkedIn account, you'll be offered the chance to link it with your new LinkedIn Learning account. While this is optional, connecting your accounts offers several advantages such as sharing your completed course certificates to your LinkedIn profile and retaining your learning history when you leave the University.
If you choose not to connect your accounts during the registration process you can do later from within LinkedIn Learning using Me > Settings > Connect my LinkedIn account.
LinkedIn Learning is mobile friendly, but to optimise your experience you can download a mobile app for iOS and Android phones and tablets. The Learning apps can be downloaded from your device's app store:
Providing you have connected your personal LinkedIn profile with your LinkedIn Learning account, you can easily add certificates to your LinkedIn profile either immediately after completing a course, or by finding your completed courses in your Learning History. Watch the video below for a step-by-step guide. If you choose not to connect your accounts during the registration process for LinkedIn Learning, you can do later from within LinkedIn Learning using Me > Settings > Connect my LinkedIn account.
The LinkedIn Learning platform allows you to search or browse for content, save things to look at later and see your learning history. To browse, choose Content from options on the left and then you'll see the top level collections of Business, Technology and Creative. You can also choose to search the collections. Use the top search bar and then filter the results to narrow your choice by duration and difficulty level. Once you have registered for LinkedIn Learning you can watch the video below to help you learn how to search and get the most from the platform.
There's help available from within the LinkedIn Learning platform. Find your profile picture in the top right hand side of the page and select the down arrow, to find the help option. From there you can browse the help information and use the chat service.
Please follow the guidance provided on this web page for creating your LinkedIn Learning account. If you require further help, please contact the Library team on Library@bath.ac.uk
