Have you considered the place of publication?
Traditionally, reading lists often contain material from ‘Northern’ academic publishers. Consider using literature published in the physical area you’re studying. For example, if you're researching Maori traditions we could source publications from Polynesia.
Have you considered alternative titles or authors?
The Library can provide access to publisher catalogues and make recommendations to help you represent diverse perspectives and authors in your reading list. This will lead to a more inclusive learning experience for students.
Have you considered a library workshop?
Subject Librarians can offer support in developing students’ skills to find more diverse sources during a literature searching workshop for your students.
