We have a number of agreements with publishers which provide University of Bath authors with cost-free or discounted open access publication. More details are available at: publisher agreements page. We also have a handy journal search tool so that you can check a specific journal (or journals in a subject area) to find out if they are included in one of Bath's agreements. Any questions about journal selection and open access routes to publication can be addressed to openaccess@bath.ac.uk
Each department has an Open Access Champion appointed to provide support to their colleagues.
Open Access Champions also work with the staff from the Open Access Team in order to ensure papers from their department are compliant with funder policies and are REF eligible.
If you don't know who your Open Access Champion is please get in touch at openaccess@bath.ac.uk and we can let you know.
If you would like support for your open access funding then please submit your request via our APC request form. Once we receive your request we will send an email confirming whether we can support the payment from either our UKRI block grant or the Bath Open Access Fund.
