Checking the availability of an article/document

  • Business Source Ultimate provides abstracts (summaries) of articles and other documents. Most of its search results also include links to the full text of the indexed article. To find these, click the Access Options button within the relevant search result.

  • If a search result doesn't include a full text link, a 'more information' button appears instead. Click this to enter the Library Catalogue where you'll see, either a link to the document, or a statement explaining that the content is unavailable.

If it's unavailable but you're signed in to the Library Catalogue, you'll see a 'request' link. Click the link, complete a short form, and we will then seek a scan of the content from another library. Usually, you'll receive the scan (via your university email account), either the same day, or within two working days. For further information: Inter-Library Loan service
