Final advice

helping hand

Librarians are experienced in information research and it's our job to help you develop your skills.  This brief tutorial is only the beginning of your learning journey. When you start your postgraduate studies you'll have teaching sessions with your subject librarian or will be directed to further online teaching materials to assist you.

We have a fantastic range of online resources to help you with your studies: more than 500,000 e-books, 26,000 e-journals, more than 100 research databases, a book chapter scanning service, free inter-library loans service and a website packed full of guides, tutorials and sources for you to use. Your subject librarian curates a website designed to highlight the resources recommended for your subject, so be sure to check out these dedicated web pages to find specialist tools e.g. company and financial databases, market and industry research, science databases, mapping data, engineering resources and patents.

Many of our business databases can be used to improve your commercial awareness and impress a potential recruiter with your knowledge of the business environment, the industry and the company that you are hoping to to work for.

Remember, help will be available to you throughout your studies at library@bath.ac.uk

Well done, you've finished this tutorial.
