Once you have fully registered as a student, and received your University username and password, you will be able to access the Library's services and online resources from anywhere there is access to the internet. This includes online books, journal articles and other resources in the Library collection.
You can use your username and password to access your Library account form the Library home page.
When off campus you will be asked to log in using your username and password before being able to see Library databases, published materials, and other resources.
If you are a new student you must complete registration before you can apply for your Library Card.
You can apply for a Library Card before you arrive. Upload your photo during the University registration process. The card should then be waiting for you at the Library, or Accommodation Centre, at the beginning of your studies.
Certain flexible learning courses, that are not campus based, and students who have missed the opportunity to request their Library Card at registration will have three options.
For those who are not coming to the campus, you can request that a card is made and sent to you. You can complete the online form or send an e-mail to Library@bath.ac.uk. You will need to include the following information:

Your card is valid until the end of your course of studies - as indicated on the University’s student database.
You will receive your PIN by email when your first library card is printed. You can update your PIN by logging in to your Library Account. You can also ask Issue Desk staff for a reminder of your PIN during staffed hours.
You will need your PIN to take print books, DVDs and other loanable items, out via the self-issue machines near to the Issue Desk in the Library.
